KRISTINA M. HOFFMAN is the author and illustrator of the fantasy, sci-fi adventure-comedy series, Destined Existence. Inspired by 1980s and 1990s books, comics, and cartoons, Hoffman crafted her writing style and art to evoke the era’s entertainment. She deliberately uses her illustrations, character personalities, and writing style to evoke feelings of nostalgia in her readers. The series blends humor, eeriness, and a charm reminiscent of Transformers, Masters of the Universe, The Goonies, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, and The Wizard of Oz. It’s also inspired by the tabletop RPGs she played over the years with her husband and friends. Hoffman was inspired by artists like Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo, and authors Craig Shaw Gardner, Stephen King, L. Frank Baum, Andre Norton, and David C. Smith, among others. |
